此作品從文學視角出發，以臺灣詩人席慕容的當代詩《一棵開花的樹》為創作核心出發。席慕容不僅是位著名當代詩人、散文家，同時也是傑出的畫家；其詩作對於感情的描述總是盪氣迴腸。編舞家張婷婷將席老師刻劃精美的詩文及情感，與詩中有畫、畫中有詩的唯美畫面，從文字意涵轉化為舞蹈語彙，重新詮釋經典當代文學作品。從《一棵開花的樹》、《白鳥之死》、《悲歌》等詩中，席慕容老師在不同時期所傳達的不同際遇或是情感的表象，再再都顯出人們生命中可能擁有的共同記憶，繼而串連出一段時光荏苒的回憶畫面。
舞作中涵蓋席老師不同時期的經典詩句作品，藉由舞者以肢體書寫文字的形式，嘗試二度詮釋詩文呈現的方式，並透過動態書寫強調文字抽象的情感。當具體的文字幻化為抽象的身體符號，在某種程度上便是表達了藝術家內心真切的情思，以肢體為橋樑呈現在觀者面前，創造肢體文學的獨特語彙。編舞家張婷婷也認為，在席老師的字裡行間時常以一個多情女子的形象細緻刻劃在想像的意境中，女子的執着、真摯的愛卻以心傷結局，不僅讓人憐惜，或可延伸至女性在不同時空之社會性別議題中的角色探討。編舞者也希望那細膩的文筆可以藉由舞者肢體動作的質地和動作表達的詮釋，緩緩敘述出另一種飽滿的情緒張力和詩詞情境的再現。

T.T.C. Dance
A Blooming Tree is choreographer Ting-Ting Chang’s attempt to decipher the works of contemporary poet Xi Murong from a female’s perspective, ingraining her dance with the essence of Xi’s famous poem, A Blossoming Tree. As the society continues to develop, the changes in gender roles and relationships inspired Chang to experiment with the possibility of Dance Literature, exploring another way to “read” the dance and “view” the poem. The words and phrases are developed and translated into body movements by the dancers, as the choreography attempts deconstruct and reconstruct the meanings of memories, emotions, and feeling.

從實驗性作品為發展中心，以精緻、細膩、富含東西方美學精髓的中小劇場模式發展。本團榮獲2016-19年分級獎助團隊、2014年台北市文化局傑出團隊。
積極尋求與國內外舞蹈或相關領域藝術家、團隊合作，發展多元創作，自2013年起，舞團足跡踏遍歐陸、北美洲及亞太各地區舞臺。持續推出原創作品，打造臺灣精緻表演團隊的國際品牌形象，開創舞蹈和其他藝術的國際新視野，樹立以臺灣為基地的舞蹈創作表演團隊，期許成為亞太地區的舞蹈新實驗平台。
Established in 2012, T.T.C. Dance is a Taipei-based, non-profit contemporary dance company that explores the delicate interaction among movements, feelings, and imagination. It experiments with the fusion of Eastern and Western aesthetics through inter- and cross-disciplinary collaboration with artists and art forms. The company’s Cabinet Anthropomorphique was nominated for the 2012 Taishin Arts Award and has been performed around the world. In 2018, T.T.C. Dance performed in Houston, St. Louis, Shanghai, and Taipei, while also participated in Festival d'Avignon Off in France. In the future T.T.C. Dance looks to refine its creative energy and present quality choreography and inspiring performances.
