In the past, traditional societies consider that marriage is to women what career is to men, thus getting divorced is usually viewed as failure of women.
Theatre is a space that summons the past and connects the future. We try to make the unheard voices heard, and thus to create resonance; when on thing is mentioned, another is implied metaphorically. Nowadays, people still don’t get the chance to hear the voice of these mothers often enough. In a figurative way, these voices have been muffled for a long time.
This program features the unnoticed realities from marriages and divorces, combining documentary, multidisciplinary performance and amateur performers.
